Avionté now allows tracking of text messaging consent on Talent and Contact records and will prevent text messages from being sent via BOLD if Talent or Contact has opted out of text messaging communication.
With the assistance of legal counsel, Avionté has provided standard, compliant consent request verbiage that displays in the "Personal Information" stage of the online application, the "Personal Information" Talent onboarding task, and the "Personal Information" section of the Talent's Portal.
In an effort to protect consumers from unwanted, spam or scam text messages, the FCC is requiring all SMS senders to collect express consent and to give the option to revoke consent. Failure to comply can result in a per-message federal fine.
How does this impact you?
This needs to be reviewed and taken care of.
It would help if you determined which of your users should be Text Communication Admins, and you will want to review your configuration for texting consent immediately.
In addition to configuring consent to be collected from Talent moving forward, you will want to collect consent from your existing Talent records outside of your standard onboarding processes. See recommendations and details in the article here: Set up and use Text Message Consent
This enhancement is available to BOLD customers that have BOLD's native text messaging enabled. If you do not see this feature enabled but wish to use it, please get in touch with your Account Manager.
