Timesheets | Added Email Step to Prevent Auto-Approvals - 11/25/2024

🚀 What's New

What is the improvement?

  • We've updated the experience for time sheet approval via emailed notifications, by requiring a confirmation of time sheet approval when clicking the "Approve TImesheet" button in the time sheet submitted email.

Why?

  • Email providers can implement security features which effectively inspect links that appear in email content, to prevent spam, phishing, and malware delivered via email. This link inspection effectively is the same as clicking the link in the email as if a user had clicked it. Our "Approve Timesheet" link in the time sheet submission email automatically approves the time sheet in Bold when clicked, leading to issues with bad "Approvals" occurring.

How does this impact you?

  • Moving forward, when a time sheet approval email is received and the "Approve Timesheet" button is clicked, the user will be brought to a confirmation page which will require a confirmation of approval of the time sheet before it will be approved within Bold.

  1. Click "Approve Timesheet"

  2. Additional Timesheet Approval message will appear. Click "Approve Timesheet" to confirm the submission.

Update Analyze Reports Date Filtering Options - 11/25/2024

🚀 What's New

What is the improvement?

  • We've updated the Analyze Reports date filtering options in Bold to limit dynamic and user-defined date ranges to 1 year or less.

Why?

  • This change was implemented to mitigate issues with report generation timeouts that occur when customers attempt to pull data spanning multiple years in a single report. Reports covering extended periods place a heavy load on system resources, leading to delays or failures in generating the requested data.

How does this impact you?

  • By limiting date ranges to 1 year, we aim to ensure a smoother, faster, and more reliable report generation experience. While customers will need to create multiple reports for multi-year data, this adjustment helps prevent disruptions and enhances the overall performance and usability of the reporting tool.
