Standard Reporting Permissions
Some clients grant viewing access to users based on their branch. Reports also reflect these permissions.
This is an important feature because access is granted based on how your organization has their branch permissions set up. You can restrict by Job access or expand to Talent and Companies / Contacts. Your standard reports will also reflect this setup.
The logic that determines how to filter out data based on these permissions is dependent on the report that is being accessed and the type of data that is displaying on it. For example, the system restricts data visibility on the Starts Report based on Company permissions.
User Reporting Access
Access to specific reports is granted through User Accounts. Follow these steps:
1. Click on the user menu (the icon) and select User Accounts.
2. Find the account to which you want to grant access, and click Edit Profile.
3. Click the Edit Access button.
4. For the reports desired, check or uncheck the reports to which you would like to grant or restrict access. As an example, the Sales Reports section is shown below, with Sales Stats, Client Contact Report, Opportunities, and Sales Tasks granted access.
When the managed user next logs in to BOLD, their report access should be set up in the way you have directed.
Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Permissions
Some clients create and manage internal branches where all of their internal employees are set up. Our BI reporting reflects all data within an environment, except that internal branches can be excluded.
[May 2020 Update]: If you have internal branches that you would like setup to be excluded from your BI reports - the Edit Office feature makes that possible. Check the box marked "Internal" to enable this. This will ensure no users will see data from the specified branches within your BI reports.
