What is the improvement?
A new Application Compliance Message feature has been implemented to assist with California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) compliance. This message appears to job applicants during the application process, informing them about data privacy policies before they enter personal information.
Why?
- To help businesses comply with CCPA and CPRA requirements for collecting personal information from California residents
- To satisfy the legal requirement of providing a privacy notice at the point of data collection
- To create an auditable record that applicants have viewed privacy information
How does this impact you?
For Administrators:
- You can create and edit compliance messages in the Languages section of the Careers Page Editor (Utilities > Careers Page Editor > Languages)
- You can enable the message for specific workflows via the Applicant Details Visibility & Requirements section
- You can audit changes to the Application Compliance Message in the Audit section of Languages
For Applicants (Talent):
- Applicants will see the compliance message below the application navigation but above any PII fields
- The message appears both before and after resume upload
- The system logs that they have viewed the message as an Activity in their profile
For Reporting:
- The Application Compliance Message is logged as an Activity in Talent profiles automatically
- This Activity is available for reporting when searching Talent Activities by HCM Users
- The Application Compliance Message is available as an Activity Subtype in the Talent Activities Report

Prevent Duplicate Email Addresses in HCM/Talent Records - 03/19/2025

We've enhanced the validation process when creating or editing talent and contact records in BOLD HCM. The system now checks if the email address being used for a talent or contact record matches an existing HCM user's email address. If a match is found, the creation or update will be prevented, and a clear error message will be displayed.
