When attempting to sign an Adobe document (by a talent or HCM user), users will be prompted to accept Adobe's Terms & Conditions before they can view/sign the document.
Why is this Changing?
Adobe has enforced this new behavior because of privacy and legal requirements. Avionté cannot prevent this change in behavior.
When is this Changing?
This change will take place during Adobe's release in the 3rd week of September 2021.
What do I need to do?
Ensure you understand that when any talent or HCM user attempts to open an Adobe eDocument following the release, they will be prompted to accept Adobes Terms & Conditions, after which the document will load normally.
As a talent or HCM user, I have to accept Terms and Conditions. Is that a one-time thing? Or every time?
You will need to accept the terms and conditions every time you attempt to sign. Adobe will provide some UI/UX screenshots once they have the preview environment up and running in the next 1-2 weeks.
How will it work for talent when they have multiple documents in a packet? Does that mean having to do multiple acknowledgments every time they move to the next document?
They will only need to agree to the terms and conditions once per signing session, meaning a packet with 10 documents only requires a single acceptance of the terms & conditions.
When we say that it will occur when an HCM user tries to open a document, that includes within Avionté and not just directly in their Adobe account, correct?
HCM users will also be required to accept these terms and conditions every time if they are attempting to sign the document.
Does this pertain to completed documents already attached to an employee’s record?
No, this is only required when signing a document. They do not need to accept the terms and conditions if they are simply viewing a document.
