| Why did we do that? |
This is a valid & necessary character for a few specific banks and credit unions to process direct deposit payments. |
| Why does this matter to you, as a client/customer/user? |
For AviontéBOLD customers using banks for direct deposit processing, the system will allow the saving of account numbers with dashes in them, so that employees using banks with hyphens in the account number do not get rejected for a missing hyphen. |

This enhancement is hidden behind a system feature flag; it is not enabled by default. To enable the enhancement, an Admin user must activate the option in your environment using System Features. Please consult with your Account Manager to arrange this. |
