The integration of BOLD Timesheets with our 24/7 Time mobile application represents a significant advancement in workforce time management. This enhancement eliminates the need for manual file transfers and provides a unified platform for all timekeeping operations, creating a more efficient workflow for both employees and administrators.

Configuring Time Capture Methods
The Time Capture Method determines how employees will interact with time tracking for specific jobs. This setting can be configured at both the Company and Job levels within BOLD.
Company-Level Configuration
Setting the Time Capture Method at the Company level establishes the default for all newly created jobs. Note that changing the Time Capture method on a Company does not affect existing jobs.
To configure Time Capture for a Company:
- Navigate to the Company record
- Click the Edit icon for the Operational Information widget
- Select an option from the Time Capture Method field:
- Timesheets (enables BOLD Timesheets Integration)
- Batch Hours
- Group Time
- Click the Save icon
Job-Level Configuration
Individual jobs can be configured to use a different Time Capture Method than the Company default, providing flexibility for specific operational requirements.
To configure Time Capture for a Job:
- Navigate to the Job record
- Click the Edit icon for the Operations & Financials widget
- Select an option from the Time Capture Method field:
- Timesheets (enables BOLD Timesheets Integration)
- Batch Hours
- Group Time
- Click the Save icon
Configuration Hierarchy
The system follows this hierarchy for Time Capture Method settings:
- Job-level settings take precedence over Company-level settings
- Company-level settings serve as defaults for newly created jobs
- Existing jobs retain their current settings when Company-level defaults are changed
Time Capture Method Options
The system now supports two distinct time capture methods based on job configuration. Each method provides different functionality and user experiences to meet varying operational needs.
Option 1: BOLD Timesheets Integration
How It Works: When jobs are configured with the BOLD Timesheets method, the mobile app's check-in, check-out, and break buttons automatically open BOLD timesheets through a web overlay interface. This provides full access to BOLD's comprehensive timesheet functionality directly within the mobile application.
Key Features:
- Web Overlay Integration: Maintains mobile app context while providing complete timesheet functionality
- Frictionless: Streamlined authentication process eliminates multiple login requirements
- Automatic Navigation: Direct routing to job-specific timesheets for the appropriate work week
- Daily and Weekly Support: Supports both daily and weekly timesheet configurations based on job requirements
- Comprehensive Functionality: Full access to all BOLD timesheet features and capabilities
-
Centralized Approval: All time approval processes handled within BOLD for consistent oversight
User Experience:
- Employees use familiar mobile app interface for initial interaction
- Seamless transition to BOLD timesheet interface when needed
- Flexible timesheet periods (daily or weekly) based on job configuration
- Week-based restrictions ensure compliance (cannot check in before job start week)
- All time management consolidated in one platform
Best For: Organizations requiring comprehensive time tracking, detailed reporting, and centralized approval workflows.
Option 2: Mobile Punch Integration
How It Works: Jobs configured with the Mobile Punch method activate the 24/7 WORK timekeeping system, providing a streamlined approach focused on basic time tracking functionality.
Key Features:
- 24/7 WORK System Integration: Utilizes established 24/7 WORK timekeeping infrastructure
- Flexible Check-In: Allows check-in to shifts at any time
- Simplified Interface: Focuses on core time tracking without additional complexity
-
API-Driven: Time data flows directly to BOLD through backend integration
User Experience:
- Straightforward time capture process
- Minimal interface complexity
- Flexible timing for shift check-ins
- Basic time tracking functionality
Best For: Organizations with straightforward time tracking needs that prioritize simplicity and flexibility over comprehensive features.
The dual-option approach to time capture methods provides organizations with the flexibility to choose the solution that best matches their operational needs. Whether selecting the comprehensive BOLD Timesheets integration or the streamlined Mobile Punch option, all time data flows into the unified BOLD system, ensuring consistent management and reporting capabilities.
