How do I update my Auto-sync Email Settings?

You may have noticed that your emails are not syncing into Avionté, or maybe you received the notification email alerting you that the system is not able to connect to your email server. In either case, you will want to check your Auto-Sync Email settings in order to reconnect the system to your email

 

Issue: Emails are no longer syncing

Steps:

  • Head to Utilities -> Auto-Email Sync Settings

  • Once in your Auto-Email Sync Settings, check to make sure your IMAP Folders to Sync are appearing.
    • If they are, confirm that the folders you would like to sync are selected. If they are not, select the ones needed (we recommend Inbox and Sent), scroll to the bottom of the list, and click "Update Sync Folders". These folders will sync when the next process runs. 
    • If you use Gmail, select "All Mall" OR "Inbox/Sent". If you select "All Mail" with any other folder, it will create double logged emails. 
  • If your Folders are not appearing, re-enter your IMAP server and Port, Email User Name and Email Password. 
    • Note: Be sure to enter all information. DO NOT use autofill as it will not work. Be sure you are entering your Email Password and NOT your Avionté password. 
    • Once it connects, you will see your "IMAP Folders to Sync" appear. Select the ones needed (we recommend Inbox and Sent), scroll to the bottom of the list, and click "Update Sync Folders". These folders will sync when the next process runs.

 

 

Issue: Not connecting

I received an email to update my Auto-sync Settings because there was an issue connecting. 

 

Users will only receive this email after THREE failed attempts to connect to your email server. 

Steps:

  • Head to Utilities -> Auto-Email Sync Settings
  • On the right side of the page, check to see if there is "Last Sync Status".
    • If you do see it, and it says "Sync Status: Success" or "Sync Status: Synced", there was most likely a momentary disruption in your server connection, which prompted the email. 
    • If you do not see it, re-enter your IMAP server and Port, Email User Name and Email Password. 
      • Note: Be sure to enter all information. DO NOT use autofill as it will not work. Be sure you are entering your Email Password and NOT your Avionté password. 
      • Once it connects, you will see your "IMAP Folders to Sync" appear. Select the ones needed (we recommend Inbox and Sent), scroll to the bottom of the list, and click "Update Sync Folders". These folders will sync when the next process runs.
