Customizing and Sharing This Report

Columns: Use the column selector to show, hide, or reorder columns to match your workflow.

Filters: Your filter selections are remembered between sessions — the report opens with your last-used settings automatically.

Sharing (INSIGHTS users): You can duplicate, rename, and share customized versions of this report with team members, and schedule automated delivery by email. System-level reports remain unchanged and available to all users.

Sharing (Standard users): You can duplicate this report and customize filters for personal use. To share a customized version with your team, duplicate the report, apply your preferred filters, and share it directly with individual users. System-level reports cannot be modified or set as a default for all users. See Enhanced Standard Reporting Overview for more detail.

The Analyze Time Report gives you a detailed view of hours captured across timesheet batches and group time entries for any date range you define. Track talent hours, approval status, and time capture methods across all placements in one consolidated report. Use it to validate timesheet accuracy, monitor approval progress, and identify gaps in time capture before they affect billing or payroll.

 

Accessing the Report

  1. Click on Analyze Tab
    The Reports Sub Tab will automatically be selected
  2. In the Search Reports field, type ANALYZE
  3. Click on the Analyze Time Report

Note: Reports load with Today & Yesterday as the initial default. Once you adjust filters, the report remembers your selections for future sessions. If you see unexpected results, check your active filters in the right panel. The data you see depends on your security permissions—users with restricted access may see fewer timesheets than colleagues with broader visibility.

Understanding This Report

What This Report Shows You

The Analyze Time Report displays comprehensive details about timesheet hours captured through batch hours and group time entries. Each row represents a timesheet submission for a specific talent and week ending date, providing complete visibility into regular hours, overtime, double-time, and any additional transaction types configured in your system. The report captures submission workflows including who submitted and approved timesheets, along with approval dates, rejection details, and timesheet notes.

Why Use This Report

This report helps you manage day-to-day operations and answer critical questions:

  • Which talent submitted timesheets for the current week ending date?
  • How many hours did specific talent work across regular, overtime, and double-time?
  • Which timesheets are awaiting approval from specific approvers?
  • When were timesheets submitted and approved for payroll processing?
  • Which timesheets were rejected and what were the rejection reasons?

Using Filters

Filters appear on the right side of your screen and help you focus on specific segments of your data. All filters default to "Include all" when you first open the report.

Available Filters

Division Filters by the employer associated with the job placement Use when analyzing timesheet data for specific employer entities or divisions within your organization
Region Filters by the regional assignment of the job placement Use to compare timesheet patterns across different geographic regions or when regional managers need to review their area's submissions
Branch Filters by the branch location associated with the job placement Use to focus on specific office locations, identify branch-level timesheet trends, or when branch managers need to review their team's approvals
Company Filters by the client company where talent are placed Use when analyzing hours for specific clients, preparing client billing reports, or reviewing timesheet submission rates by customer
Timesheet Approver Filters by the user responsible for approving timesheets Use to review a specific approver's pending timesheets, track approval turnaround times, or identify who approved historical timesheets
Time Capture Method Filters by how time was captured (batch hours, group time, etc.) Use to analyze which capture methods are most commonly used, verify data from specific input sources, or troubleshoot time entry workflows
Week End Date Provides preset date ranges (Year, Quarter, Month, Week, Day, Hour) Use to define the beginning of your analysis period when reviewing historical timesheet data
Note: When using Date Range, the Date From and Date To fields automatically disable. Select either Date Range or manually enter Date From and Date To—not both. The date filters apply to the Week Ending Date of timesheets.

Applying Your Filter Selections

  1. Click on the edit icon next to any filter name to expand it
  2. Make your selections by checking boxes or choosing from dropdowns
  3. Click Apply to update the report with your filtered view
  4. Click Cancel to discard changes and return to the previous filter state

Reading the Data

The Analyze Time Report displays each timesheet submission as a separate row with comprehensive details about the placement, talent, hours worked, and approval workflow. The extensive field list allows you to export exactly the information you need for your specific use case, whether that's payroll verification, client billing, or workforce analytics. Hover mouse just below the last row of report data to 

Key Field Categories

Field Name Description
Division The employer entity associated with the job placement
Region The regional assignment of the job placement
Branch The branch location associated with the job placement
Week Ending Date / Link The ending date for the timesheet period being reported
Talent The full name of the talent who worked the hours
Talent ID / Link The unique identifier for the talent in the system
Company The client company name where the talent is placed
Company ID / Link The client company ID and link
Company Office The specific office location of the client company
Hiring Manager The manager at the client company overseeing the placement
Hiring Manager ID / Link The manager at the client company ID and link
Job Title The position title for the placement
Req ID / Link The requisition identifier associated with the job and link
Capture Type The method used to capture time for this timesheet
Submitted Date The date when the timesheet was submitted for approval
Approved Date The date when the timesheet was approved
Approved By The name of the user who approved the timesheet
Rejected Date The date when the timesheet was rejected (if applicable)
Rejected By The name of the user who rejected the timesheet
Notes Any notes or comments associated with the timesheet
Reg Regular hours worked for the timesheet period
OT Overtime hours worked for the timesheet period
DT Double-time hours worked for the timesheet period
Leave Hours Type Hours captured for specific leave categories such as vacation, sick time, personal time, or other paid time off (PTO) types. These hours appear as additional transaction types beyond regular, overtime, and double-time, allowing you to track and report on different types of non-working paid hours separately for payroll and compliance purposes.
Additional Transaction Types Hours Dynamic columns appear for any additional transaction types configured in your system, showing total hours for each type
Total Units Sum of Regular, Overtime, and Double-time hours
Mon - Sun Hours worked per day of the timesheet week

Exporting Your Data

Export your report data to share with stakeholders, perform additional analysis, or maintain records outside of Avionté.

  1. Apply any filters you want to include in your export
  2. Click the three-dot menu icon (⋮) in the top right corner of the report area
  3. Select your preferred format from the Download submenu:
    • Image: Creates a visual snapshot of the report as currently displayed
    • CSV File: Exports raw data compatible with Excel, Google Sheets, and database tools
    • PDF File: Generates a formatted document suitable for printing or formal distribution

Note: Your export will include only the data visible based on your current filter selections. To export all timesheet data, ensure all filters are set to "Include all" before downloading.

Additional Export Options

The three-dot menu also provides options to repeat rows (useful for printing), merge rows, and other display customizations. These settings affect how your report appears on screen and in exports.

Refreshing the Report

Report data refreshes automatically in the background. However, if you want to see the most current information immediately after changing filters or if you know timesheets have been submitted or approved, you can manually refresh.

  1. Locate the circular arrow icon above the filter panel on the right side

  1. Hover over the icon to see it expand and display the word "UPDATE"
  2. Click the icon to re-run the report based on your current filter selections

The report will reload with the latest data from your database, reflecting any new timesheet submissions, approved timesheets, or updated information since you last viewed it.
