Closing Jobs

There are a few different ways to close jobs:

  • You can click on the Status in the Job Search
  • You can change the Status from the Header on the Job Details page or the Talent Page
  • You can close jobs with unfilled orders
Note: Job statuses will be synced from Front Office to Back Office. The status on a job will sync to Back Office with the same status value, when job statuses are either manually or automatically updated in BOLD.

Closing Jobs with Unfilled Orders

HCM Users can close a job that has placements and open positions. You don't need to change the number of positions available, clone the job with the number of unfilled jobs, and then close that role.

When the job is closed, all the postings will be removed and the job's status will be set to closed.

1. When you create a job, there's a drop-down for the number of "Available Positions."

This translates to the "Open Positions" count on the Job Details page. (This is shown in the Operations & Financials widget.)

2. This allows you to set the status of the job ("Open" in the screenshot above) to "Closed" even if the "Open Positions" count is not at 100% (it's "2 of 4" in the screenshot above).
