Custom Tags are used to tag and search against your candidates. Up to three unique, customizable tags are available for you to create -- simply define the tag name and type (text, date, or numeric). For example, a "Birth Month" tag makes it easy to track upcoming candidate birthdays.
Create a New Custom Tag
Custom Tags are configured in Account & Settings → Table Editor. Once created, they appear on the Talent Record in the Custom Widget (Category = Tags).
- Click on Account & Settings

Click on Table Editor
- Use the search bar in the upper left to locate the Custom Tags option
- Add a name to the New Item field
- Choose a field type from the Item Type dropdown:
- Date
- Number
- Text

Click the Add button

A confirmation pop-up will appear in the upper right, and the new tag will be visible in the list
- All custom tags can be edited or deleted using the pencil and trash can icons
Add Custom Tags to a Talent Record
Custom Tags are visible on the Talent Record in the Custom Widget (Category = Tags). They can also be edited directly from the Talent Record → Tags tab → bottom section.
- Go to the Talent record
- Open the Custom Widget
- Click the Edit icon (pencil)
- For the Category field, select Tags
- In the Field dropdown, select an option
- Click the Plus icon (+)
- Click the Save icon
Update Custom Tags on a Talent Record
- Go to the Talent record
- Click on the Tags tab
- Scroll to the bottom to see the Custom Tags field(s)
- Click the Edit icon (pencil)
- Update the field(s)
- Click the Save icon
Searching and Reporting With Custom Tags
Once configured, Custom Tags are searchable in the ATS using the Applicant/Talent Categories search field. This makes them the recommended option when you need to search or filter candidates by a custom data point.
