Overview
When setting up a job, you can choose a Rate Type that determines how time is tracked and paid. Depending on your system configuration, you may have access to both Hourly and Daily rate types, or only Hourly.
Note: Daily Rate time sheets will NOT sync to Back Office like the hourly rate jobs, and must be entered manually into the Back Office.
Note: When the Daily Rate is selected, the actual pay amounts entered for the job will be for the entire day's work, not the calculated hourly rate.

Rate Type Behavior by Configuration
The Rate Type options available to you depend on whether your organization has the Avionté Back Office Integration enabled. Review the table below to understand how the Rate Type field behaves in each scenario.
| Scenario | Creating a New Job | Existing Jobs |
|---|---|---|
| Back Office Integration Enabled | Rate Type defaults to Hourly. Only Hourly is available in the dropdown. | The Rate Type field is greyed out and not editable, regardless of whether the job is set to Daily or Hourly. |
| Back Office Integration NOT Enabled | Rate Type dropdown displays both Daily and Hourly as options. | If Rate Type = Daily, the field is greyed out. If Rate Type = Hourly, the field is editable and can be updated to Daily. |

Note: This section applies only to organizations that do not have the Avionté Back Office Integration enabled. If your organization is integrated with Back Office, the Daily Rate Type option will not be available when creating a new job.
If Daily Rate is available for your organization, you can select it when setting up a job. If Daily Rate is selected, you can further refine the rate by allowing for working a half-day. See the screenshot below.
