The Application Compliance Message helps you comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These laws require businesses to provide notice when collecting personal information from California residents, including job applicants. You can satisfy this requirement by displaying your company's data privacy policy before applicants enter their personal information.
Creating the Application Compliance Message
To create the message verbiage:
- Navigate to Utilities > Careers Page Editor > Languages
- Select the language for which you want to create the message (found above the Job Description area)
- Enter your compliance message text
Enabling the Application Compliance Message
To display your message to applicants:
- Select a Workflow
- Open the Applicant Details Visibility & Requirements section
- Set the Compliance Message to visible
Auditing Changes
Administrators can audit changes to the Application Compliance Message through the Audit section within Languages.

Applicants will see the Application Compliance Message below the application's navigation but above any personally identifiable information (PII) fields.

Activity Tracking and Reporting
The system automatically logs when an applicant views the Application Compliance Message as an Activity in their Talent profile. This Activity cannot be manually added to profiles.
You can view this Activity in two places:
- Within individual Talent profiles
- In the Talent Activities Report when searching Talent Activities by HCM Users
