End Date Requirement Considerations

If End Dates are not a common piece of data, your organization has option to omit this date at the time of creating Jobs and Placements. Admin users with access to the Table Editor can navigate to the New Job Order Requirements area where they will see an option for “End Date." This will be checked on by default but can be unchecked to ensure this field is no longer a requirement. Please note, End Date can still be entered at a future date to end your placements.

Key Takeaways

  • Flexibility in Data Entry: Organizations with no common use for End Dates in job and placement data can omit this requirement, offering flexibility in data entry.

  • Configuration Considerations: While omitting End Dates is an option, it affects features like Estimated Hours calculation, Job Ending Reminders, and display in dashboards, highlighting the need for careful consideration during configuration.

  • Impact on Forecasting: Certain reports, such as the Contract Falloffs Report, Contractor Forecast Report, and Job Board Forecast Report, rely on End Dates for accurate forecasting data, emphasizing their importance in reporting and planning.

If this is a configuration you are interested in updating, please note there are some features we will no longer be able to offer you without this data.  These items include:

  • Job Details: On the Operational & Financials widget, the Estimated Hours field will no longer be able to calculate based on the entered Start & End Date, this would have to be manually entered if you would like to capture Estimated Gross profit for a Job.
  • Job Details: The Job Ending Reminders widget will not be able to be utilized. Without end dates, reminders of up-and-coming ends cannot be distributed.
  • Dashboards: The Events Calendar widget will not display any ending assignments. Without end dates, displaying ending assignments will not be possible.
  • Job Talent: On the Offer flyout, the Estimated Hours field will no longer be able to calculate based on the entered Start & End Date, this would have to be manually entered if you would like to capture the Estimated Gross profit for a Job.
